My father just sent me a few beautiful fall images from my home region in Germany that I would like to share with you. These were all taken from and around the castle Burg Hohenneuffen in the Swabian Alps. I grew up, went to school and later university just a few kilometres from there. Enjoy.

After my return from Europe I spent two busy days in the office catching up with my staff and the members of our Board at our monthly Board meeting. I also had the honour to serve on a panel for the Empire Club to discuss “The Arts in Canada and How to Increase Everyday Participation in the Arts” with my colleagues Albert Schultz (Soulpepper) and Matthew Teitelbaum (AGO), moderated by Andrew Gorham, the Globe and Mail's Arts Editor.

I should now be on a plane to Calgary to attend the Canadian Arts Summit in Banff over the weekend. But this morning, my wife woke up sick and I decided I wouldn't leave her alone with our daughter for three days. Luckily, our Managing Director Rob Lamb will represent the COC in Banff.

Hopefully, everybody will be back in shape for the beginning of next week.
