A New Neighbourhood

You might find this a bit boring, but I just have to comment on how wonderful the weather has been these past days and weeks. There aren't that many big cities in the world where you can enjoy the kind of blue sky we have in Toronto on a sunny day. And the temperatures have been ideal for my taste, not too hot and humid and not too cold. At the end of my first year in Canada this certainly is my preferred season so far.

My family and I spent the weekend unpacking boxes and exploring our new neighborhood in the King West area. As the COC's season is about to start and I will be very busy for the next two months I am very glad that we managed to get almost everything done in the new apartment.

This morning I really enjoyed just taking the King Street streetcar to get to the office in a few minutes. It is even closer to the Four Seasons Centre and it will be great to be at home in no time after our upcoming evening rehearsals and performances.

This evening Eloise and I went back to our old Yorkville neighborhood for the preview of a great Canadian director's latest film which will have its official premiere at the Film Festival in a few days. It is profoundly emotional and analythical as only his films can be and it does feature our city in an absolutely remarkable way.

Guess what it is, get a ticket and see it.
