Between Travels

I am back in Toronto after my first trip ever to the Caribbean, an absolute dream for a week of family holiday. Never have I seen my daughter happier.

Today was and tomorrow will be a full day in the office, trying to get my correspondence under control and catching up with my collaborators. Saturday will be family day and on Sunday I will be off on another trip, first to New York City where I will be a judge for the Finals of the Met's National Council Auditions, and then to Europe with the ambitious goal of going to six cities in seven days. I will spend more time on airplanes than ever, but there will also be a lot to tell you.

Stay tuned for my upcoming travel diary.

HI, I went to see the Mets Carmen at the cinema and I hated it. Where was the sunlight? the cigarettes girls coming up from a coal mine perhaps? How can there not be chemistry as the camera is practically down the singers tonsils. I was so sick or reading critics here complaining of lack of chemisty in our production. It was not the best for sure, but our chorus if far superior to the Mets and once again I have been there many times, it is not the mecca anymore for opera as it once was. We should all be proud of what we have here in Toronto , a real house, fantastic sound great sight lines and not overprices.
