COC's Signature Production of The Flying Dutchman Returns Featuring Canadian Debut of Evgeny Nikitin

Toronto, Ontario�The Canadian Opera Company's 60th anniversary season continues with its�signature production of Richard Wagner's haunting music drama, The Flying Dutchman, featuring�renowned Russian bass-baritone Evgeny Nikitin making his Canadian debut.� Johannes Debus, the COC's newly-appointed Music Director, leads the COC Orchestra and Chorus.� Returning to stage the�powerful production he first directed for the COC in 1996 and remounted in 2000, is acclaimed�American Christopher Alden.� The Flying Dutchman runs for eight performances, April 24, 28, May 2, 8, 11, 14, 17, and 20, 2010 and is sung in German with English SURTITLES�.
