Canadian Opera Company Introduces Standing Room for Opera Performances

Toronto, Ontario�Furthering its commitment to making opera accessible to everyone, the Canadian Opera Company announces that 50 Standing Room spaces will be offered for all COC performances at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts starting in the 2010/11 season.  The Standing Room tickets will cost $12 (inclusive of taxes) and will go on-sale at 11 a.m. on the day of the performance.

Canadian Opera Company Announces Carmen Cast Change

Toronto, Ontario�The Canadian Opera Company regrets to announce that American mezzo-soprano Beth Clayton, who was scheduled to perform the title role in the upcoming production of Bizet's Carmen, has had to withdraw for health reasons. Israeli mezzo-soprano Rinat Shaham, one of the world's most renowned interpreters of Bizet's gypsy, will sing the first six performances of Carmen at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on Jan. 27, 30, Feb. 2, 5, 7, 9, 2010.

Watch the Canadian Opera Company's 2010/2011 Season Announcement Live on COC.CA

Toronto, Ontario � The Canadian Opera Company is pleased to announce that it will webcast the announcement of its 2010/11 season live on January 20, 2010 at 10 a.m. from the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre in the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.
