The Big COC Podcast – Episode Three

For our third episode, we welcome back Opera Canada magazine’s editor, Wayne Gooding along with opera journalist Joseph So. Our special guest this week is soprano Tamara Wilson who sings Rosalinde in our new production of Die Fledermaus. Hosting once again is the COC’s Adult Programs Manager, Gianmarco Segato.

This week, we catch up with Tamara who returns to the COC after appearances in our productions of Simon Boccanegra (2009) and Idomeneo (2010); the Opera Canada Corner features Wayne’s report on the conference in Montréal; we have a lively discussion about the Amanda Palmer Kickstarter controversy; there’s an interview with Klaus Heymann, founder of Naxos Records on the occasion of their 25th anniversary and, we re-connect with Ensemble alumna, soprano Jessica Muirhead, who just won the 49ème Concours International de Chant de Toulouse.

There’s also a competition – email us ( with the title of the opera which gives us our opening theme, and you’ll be entered into a draw for Cecilia Bartoli’s new album, Mission, courtesy of Universal Classics.
