Meet Yoshi Oida This Weekend

Yoshi Oida, the director of our upcoming Death in Venice, is now in town and keeping a very busy schedule of rehearsals and interviews. This Sunday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m., he is participating in Why Not Theatre's workshop series where he will hold a Q&A following a screening of the documentary Have You Seen the Moon, which documents his creative process as an actor and director. His collaborations with Peter Brook and his books on the craft of acting have cemented his renown, and this screening is definitely worth a visit if you're interested in the process behind his work on Death in Venice.

The event will be held at The Theatre Centre, 1087 Queen St. W. (at Dovercourt), and the admission price is $10 cash at the door. Copies of Oida's two books on acting, The Invisible Actor and An Actor's Tricks, will be on sale at the event through TheatreBooks.

To reserve a space, contact the Why Not Theatre box office at 416-538-0988.
