Rigoletto and Iphigenia in Tauris are now running in the theatre. The production period for these two shows was stressful because of the size of the sets: it took so long to do the changeovers between the shows that we kept getting behind schedule. Now that the shows are open, changeovers are taking about six hours to complete (read more about the changeover process here).
One of our crew members who works on the changeovers is Paul Galle. Paul likes to make films, and asked me if I minded if he made a time lapse film of one of the changeovers from Rigoletto to Iphigenia in Tauris. The video you see here was shot from the second row of seats, one frame every ten seconds over six hours. Coffee and lunch breaks have been edited out.
I hope you like it, and thanks to Paul and the rest of the crew for their help.
