[This is an audition announcement from production coordinator Shawna Green]

The Canadian Opera Company is looking for two female children to perform in the upcoming production of the opera Death in Venice by Benjamin Britten.

The children will be girls between the ages of six and ten. They will need to have good control of their movements and be focused. Concentration and memory skills will also be needed. Rehearsals will take place after school and on weekends. Some of the rehearsals and performances will go late in the evenings.

An honorarium will be paid at the end of the production.

Rehearsals begin: Sept. 13, 2010
Performance dates: Oct. 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, Nov. 3 & 6, 2010
