VOCAL SERIES. Coloratura soprano Anna Christy, currently singing the title role in the COC’s production of Lucia di Lammermoor, presents a sparkling program of bel canto gems by Rossini, Bellini and Donizetti, along with songs by William Bolcom and Aaron Copland.

CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES. Johannes Debus and the cellos of the COC Orchestra celebrate Richard Wagner's birthday with a program that includes arrangements of Wagner’s opera overtures for four cellos and Bizet’s rarely heard Carmen Fantasy.

VOCAL SERIES. The graduating artists of the Canadian Opera Company Ensemble Studio (Mireille Asselin, Ambur Braid, Rihab Chaieb, Timothy Cheung, Neil Craighead, Jenna Douglas and Christopher Enns) perform a special “farewell” concert featuring some of their favourite songs by Britten, Honegger, Vaughan Williams and Barber.

CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES. Toronto Summer Music Festival, the city’s premier chamber music festival, presents a sneak preview of this year's line-up. The program features masterpieces by Schubert and Debussy performed by one of Montreal’s most exciting young ensembles, the Sonoro Quartet.

PIANO VIRTUOSO SERIES. In a rare solo appearance, pianist Linda Ippolito serves up a tantalizing cocktail of Commedia dell’arte-based gems, set to the music of Rachmaninoff, Villa-Lobos, Frank Bridge, Cyril Scott, and other well- and lesser-known composers.

The COC is delighted to join in the ever-growing support of honeybees, with the introduction of hives on the roof of our opera house. Follow the honeybees' progress with visits from beekeeper Fred Davis.

Led by Music Director Johannes Debus, the COC Orchestra is the oldest opera orchestra in Canada, and has received worldwide acclaim.

Led by Chorus Master Sandra Horst, the COC Chorus is made up of professional singers, some of whom have worked with the company for more than 20 years.
