The Marriage of Figaro

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
FEBRUARY 4 TO 27, 2016

Running Time: Three hours, 30 minutes including one intermission.
On stage at the Four Seasons Centre, 145 Queen St. W., Toronto.

Sung in Italian with English SURTITLES™.

love conquers all. especially reason.

Figaro and Susanna’s wedding is jeopardized by the wandering eye of the Count, their employer. Intrigue and mistaken identities ensnare everyone in a web of erotic passions as a sparkling cast guides us through this magnificent, witty farce. Set to music of luminous beauty, Figaro is a testament to Mozart’s genius.

Claus Guth’s production is inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s films and the plays of Ibsen and Strindberg. COC Music Director Johannes Debus conducts.
