Albert Faura


Spanish award-winning lighting designer Albert Faura makes his COC debut with La Cenerentola. He has worked extensively in the worlds of theatre and opera. Recent projects include a co-production of La voix humaine and Il segreto di Susanna for Teatro Cervantes (Málaga), Teatro Arriaga (Bilbao), and Teatro Villamarta (Jerzez); Anna Bolena and The Queen of Spades both for Gran Teatre del Liceu; Els Comediants’ staging of L’Italiana in Algeri for Teatro Real Madrid and Maggio Musicale Florence; Turandot for Opéra de Monte-Carlo and Simon Boccanegra for Grand Théâtre de Genève. He has worked with some of the leading directors and set designers of his day including Núria Espert, Nicolas Joel, Frédérico Alagna, Jordi Saball, Joan Font, Ezio Frigerio and Hugo de Ana. Mr. Faura holds a degree in lighting design from the Theatre Institute of Barcelona and completed an international course in theatre lighting organized by the British Council in London.
