Adrianne Pieczonka, the Toronto soprano who most recently entranced COC audiences as Ariadne in Ariadne auf Naxos, will soon be taking on one of opera's most quintessential "diva" roles: Floria Tosca. In this video trailer, she talks about what makes the role of Tosca exciting for her – and which dramatic moment she found unsettling to perform.
Note: production photos and footage are from the COC's 2008 production of Tosca, also returning to our stage.
