Subscription Packages for the 2021/2022 Season are now on sale. Whether you are new to the COC or a long-time supporter, subscribing is the best way to secure your tickets for our return to live productions. COC subscribers enjoy the best seats at the best prices, flexible booking, easy exchanges, our ‘bring a friend’ discount on additional tickets, as well as priority access to new programming, events, and announcements.
There is so much to share about this long-awaited return to the stage, so we thought we would compile the basics all in one place! Read on to learn all about our subscription packages, the operas themselves, and the measures in place to make this return to the opera house a safe one for all.
The Subscription Packages Premier is our most popular package, offering the best value for the best seats in your chosen section, as well as worry-free, unlimited ticket exchanges throughout the season. These subscribers are first in line for seating upgrades, seating requests, and even get first access to signature special events and programming. Plus, enjoy a complimentary invitation to our Season Reveal event!
Flex 3 offers increased flexibility to help subscribers choose the opera tickets that work best with your schedule, while still enjoying discounted pricing on tickets. Enjoy our Flex3 discount when purchasing additional tickets, exchange your ticket for another date, or even return it entirely for a tax receipt if you can no longer attend.

The Operas Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini A heartbreaking classic from one of opera’s most-beloved composers,
Madama Butterfly explores the journey to womanhood and the impossible choices facing a young woman caught between cultures. The incredible team behind this production features our COC Disruptor-in-Residence Aria Umezawa directing, Canadian Keri-Lynn Wilson conducting the COC Orchestra, and Japanese soprano Eri Nakamura making her COC debut in the iconic title role.
La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi Featuring show-stopping arias and riveting drama, Verdi’s romantic tragedy,
La Traviata, delivers 1850s Paris to the stage in spectacular fashion. Bringing the tale’s tragic young lovers to life, Egyptian-New Zealand soprano Amina Edris stars as Violetta alongside American tenor Matthew Polenzani as Alfredo. COC Music Director Johannes Debus leads the COC Orchestra, while American Arin Arbus returns to direct this acclaimed production.
The Magic Flute by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Transport yourself to the magical fairytale world of Mozart’s
The Magic Flute, and follow the adventures of Tamino, as he sets out on a quest to rescue the kidnapped Princess Pamina. This signature COC production, ripe with imaginative costumes, fantastical creatures, and starry skies, features Canadian Ashlie Corcoran returning as director, and familiar faces like the COC’s Ensemble Studio soprano Anna-Sophie Neher starring as Princess Pamina.
A Safe Return We are dedicated to making this return to live opera a safe and accessible one for all! As of the publication of this article, the Four Seasons Centre operates under strict adherence to Ontario Public Health guidelines that include rules regarding mask use, venue capacity, physical distancing measures, and the implementation of physical barriers where necessary. Rigorous cleaning and sanitation protocols have been put in place, hand sanitizer is available throughout the venue, and "no touch” sinks are available in all washrooms.
