Winning performances from this year’s Centre Stage: Ensemble Studio Competition!

Our 11th annual Centre Stage: Ensemble Studio Competition was once again a night to remember, with Torontonian mezzo-soprano Ariana Maubach taking home both First Prize and the Audience Choice Prize. 

Hosted by television personality Emma Hunter at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts on October 30, Centre Stage comprises the grand finale to the COC’s search for the next crop of Canada’s rising young opera stars.

We’re delighted to share Ariana’s final public-round performance of “Cruda sorte” from Rossini’s L’Italiana in Algeri, along with the performances of sopranos Emma Pennell and Olivia LaPointe, who took home Second and Third Prize, respectively.
