What will happen to my subscription seats this season?
If you are a Premier subscriber with renewable seats, your seats will be available to you for our three in-person operas: Madama Butterfly (Feb 4-25, 2022), Verdi’s La Traviata (April 23-May 20, 2022), and Mozart’s The Magic Flute (May 6-21, 2022).
Subscriptions will be available to renew on October 14, 2021.
The subscription renewal deadline is November 10, 2021.
What if I did not renew for the canceled 2020/2021 season?
No further action is required from you at this time, and your priority in the seating queue will be maintained if you order a subscription for any 3 opera package of Madama Butterfly (Feb 4-25, 2022), Verdi’s La Traviata (April 23-May 20, 2022), and Mozart’s The Magic Flute (May 6-21, 2022).
We are hopeful that with ongoing vaccination programs, the opera house will be able to operate at full capacity by February 2022. If changes in provincial guidelines mean some renewable seats become unavailable for 2021/2022 after the subscription renewal deadline of November 10, your seat(s) will continue to be held for you for when we can return to a regular opera season. Should limited capacity be required in 2022, COC subscribers will receive priority access in recognition of their continued support.
Will masks be required to attend live performances later on?
The COC will continue to adhere to all the latest Ontario Public Health guidelines regarding masks. Masks are required to be worn at all times indoors except when actively eating and drinking. In the event that a patron has medical exemption, the COC can assist in providing a face shield.
Yes, it can! On the payment page, before you enter your credit card information, you will be able to apply a Gift Certificate.
