For the last two decades since its inception in 2001, contemporary music in Croatia has thrived through the activities of Cantus Ensemble.

Founded with the purpose of exploring, discovering, and presenting unexplored spheres of new music, the ensemble has been an important and indispensable figure in Croatian music scene. Led by conductor Berislav Šipuš, this afternoon’s performance will take us through 40 years of contemporary music though the works of Croatian composers spanning different generations: Boris Papandopulo, Sara Jaković, David Batinić, and Berislav Šipuš.
