Join us for another exciting month of Free Concert Series performances!
Our seven unique concerts include stars from our winter productions of The Marriage of Figaro and Salome, artists from the COC Ensemble Studio and COC Orchestra, and more! Read on for our highlights.

Afternoons by Moonlight
Luca Pisaroni
While playing the part of Figaro in the COC’s winter production of The Marriage of Figaro, Italian bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni will delight audiences with an afternoon of sweet and melancholy melodies. Including works by Bellini, Donizetti, Rossini, Gounod, and Saint-Saëns, this concert will be sure to give a front-seat view of Pisaroni’s compelling artistry.

Expressions of a Mezzo-Soprano
Carolyn Sproule
Canadian mezzo-soprano Carolyn Sproule will join the Canadian Opera Company in the winter production of Strauss’ Salome. For her Free Concert Series debut, Sproule will showcase her expressive sound as she sings some of her favourite songs.

Les Adieux
Alex Halliday, bass-baritone; Midori Marsh, soprano
COC Ensemble Studio artists Alex Halliday and Midori Marsh bid farewell to the Ensemble Studio with a graduating recital of songs that showcase the full extent of their musical and dramatic range, including Mozart’s tour-de-force concert aria Per questa bella mano, K. 612.

As always, the Free Concert Series is free for all attendees, but arrive early! Doors open half an hour prior to the performance start time and admittance is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
